Fresh Flower Decoration vs Artificial ones 

      There was much discussion about the extra payment for flower decorations over and above the huge amount one paid for the apparent 'decoration'.  This so called decoration one could not change even a single thread since the decorator had it on for a marriage that was scheduled on Dec 8, 9, 10 and for our reception on 11th. Later people told me that the same thing remains for the entire wedding season. Only the participants change and the foolish consumers who remain hostage to these 'mafias'.

   Gulfam the man doing our flower decoration turned up at 11:30 p.m. after saying that he will come at 7:30. Divir called him Gul, Gulshan, Gulfam. And repeated it so many times that even I was convinced that he had been named after the TV show. His claim to fame was that he had done flower decoration for all cops. On being asked whether he works only for the cops he replied, 'nahin main badmashon ke liye bhi karta hoon'. There was one from the south who had used his services.

    He claimed that he got the jaymaal made with imported flowers.

  Which both the wearers wore exactly for a few snaps.

The irony was that the decorator was called Phoolchand and the flower man Gulfam and both didn't do anything that is flower-like.

Please note the artificial coconut tree that the decorator had so kindly put in that was over and above his flower decoration.
